Day 106: Fully clothed lady

I'm definitely a bargain hunter and never buy anything full price. But if I saw this top on sale at Anthropologie, I would consider buying it if it were about $40 or less. I really do love this shirt. Instead, it was at Target, and on sale for $18. Even though it sounds crazy, that seemed like so much for a sale price of a shirt at Target, so I almost considered putting it back. I'm glad I didn't! The jacket is my original Anthropologie piece. Margaret gave it to me for Christmas about 8 years ago, and it has come a long way since then. This is what I was wearing when I met the Barenaked Ladies in 2003.  That story used to be my favorite thing to talk about, but you guys might not even know that I interviewed them for the newspaper when I was in high school. Then I got free tickets to see them perform with Gavin DeGraw and I met them backstage! Fun times.

Top: Target
Jacket: Gift from Margaret, Anthropologie
Skirt: J. Crew
Boots: Gift from Mom, Kenneth Cole via Marshalls

  3. I love how the top and bag look so nice together, and how the jacket and skirt allow the tops details to show. I also think you hit the shopping mentality nail and the head with the $18 Target vs. $40 Anthro debate. Nothing like seeing the $198 tag on something you paid $12.99 for.
